A native of Corpus Christi, Texas and a graduate of Ray High School, Dr. Patterson earned his medical degree and completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Texas, in Houston, Texas. During his residency, he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Patterson is board certified in Orthopaedic Surgery by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
Dr. Patterson has presented research papers at medical meetings and has had his work published in a medical journal. He is a member of the Nueces County Medical Society and the Texas Medical Association.
He has staff memberships at Christus Spohn Shoreline Hospital, Christus Spohn South Hospital, Doctor's Regional Medical Center and South Texas Surgical Hospital.
​Dr. Patterson provides treatment to many high school and college athletes. He and his partners, provide clinical education to students at Texas A & M University who are enrolled in the Bachelor of Science Degree program in Athletic Training.
